How carpet installation works with VFO
Carpet only looks as good as the installation underneath it. Vegas Flooring Outlet has installed carpet in Las Vegas homes since 2012, and the same local team that helps you choose a style at our Spring Mountain Rd showroom measures your rooms and installs the floor. Carpet installation vs. carpet replacement
Most carpet jobs in Las Vegas are carpet replacement: worn or stained carpet comes out, and new pad and carpet go in. The installation is the same skilled work either way, with a few extra steps at the start.
- Old carpet and pad removal is free in many cases. If carpet is glued down directly to the floor with no padding, there may be an extra charge, and we tell you at the estimate.
- A subfloor check. Most Las Vegas homes are built on a concrete slab, so we look for cracks, high spots, old adhesive and loose tack strip before new pad goes down.
- New tack strip where it's needed, so the carpet holds its stretch along every wall.
What a professional carpet install includes
A good installation is mostly details you stop noticing after move-in. On every carpet job our crew focuses on:
- The right pad. Pad affects comfort, how the carpet wears, and what the carpet manufacturer's warranty expects. We go over pad options with your carpet choice.
- Power-stretching. Carpet is stretched tight from wall to wall with a power stretcher so it stays flat instead of rippling later.
- Seam planning. Carpet comes in rolls, so larger rooms need seams. We plan seam placement at the measure to keep seams out of walkways and sightlines wherever the room allows.
- Clean transitions. Where carpet meets tile, vinyl plank or laminate, we finish the doorway with the right transition piece.
- Stairs. Carpeted stairs need extra care at every tread and nose. See stair flooring for the options.
Carpet for Las Vegas homes
Desert living is hard on floors in its own way: fine dust, strong sun through big windows, and pets that track in everything. Carpet still makes sense in bedrooms, upstairs lofts and family rooms, where comfort and a quieter room matter most.
Many Las Vegas homeowners mix materials: carpet in the bedrooms and 100% waterproof SPC vinyl plank in the kitchen, entry and laundry room. We can measure and quote both in the same visit so the transitions are planned together.
What to expect on installation day
- Before we arrive: clear small items, breakables and anything stored on the floor in the rooms getting new carpet. We go over furniture and access when we schedule.
- During the install: the crew removes the old floor, preps the slab, lays the pad, then fits, seams and stretches the carpet.
- Before we leave: edges are trimmed and tucked, the work area is cleaned up, and we walk the rooms with you.
Every installation includes our 1-year workmanship warranty on top of the manufacturer's product warranty, and our installers work under Nevada contractor license C-16 #0079055.
